CEO Sean Belanger announced today that Z4 Mobile is now available for Apple’s iPad 2. Like other devices compatible with Z4 Mobile, deaf and hard of hearing customers will be able to use iPad 2 to make and receive both video relay service (VRS) calls to hearing parties and point-to-point calls directly to other videophones.

“The Z continues its history of being the VRS industry’s mobility leader,” said Belanger. “Once again, we’re leading the way, releasing Z4 Mobile on iPad 2.”

Belanger said iPad 2 is a revolutionary device for the deaf and hard of hearing, serving as a next generation videophone that frees VRS customers from being forced to use their TV as a videophone. Additionally, he pointed out that iPad 2 has a powerful applications platform to meet all of their communication needs, whether it involves videos, text, email or social media.

Z4 Mobile is the most widely available application in the market, with support for iPhone 4, iPod Touch (4th Generation), iPad 2 and several select Android smartphones.
