Do you believe the Sorenson ntouch has the features that the Deaf and HoH need for 100% functional equivalency?
Sure, but understand, these features have been out for over 9 months. Z4 Mobile has had these Sorenson ntouch features and many more. We are proud to be the leader in “Deaf Mobility.” We believe that the Deaf and Hard of Hearing deserve options to choose; That is, how they want to connect, where they want to connect and with whom they want to connect. Some of the extras we offer with Z4 Mobile, that the Sorenson ntouch falls short, are text overlay capabilities, DTMF Dialing and point to point video mail.
Why should members of the community choose Z4 Mobile over the Sorenson ntouch?
Features. The Z4 mobile is second to none when it comes to features. We believe Sorenson ntouch was created as a response to The Z4. I do believe, however, that Z4 Mobile has everything and more to offer than the Sorenson ntouch. The facts are there. For instance, we have the ability to leave a video mail on a point to point call whereas the Sorenson ntouch can only leave a video mail on a VRS call. We are constantly developing our products and adding new features to existing products. The Z does not merely ride the wave, we create it.
Do you believe Sorenson to have more products after the release of the Sorenson ntouch?
I cannot speak for Sorenson, but we will. I am very proud of The ZVRS Engineering Team. They are always looking for new options for this community. It took Sorenson many years to come up with a new option since the VP-200. Meanwhile we announce 2 Z4 products and 3 Z4 Mobile products in 2010 alone. We are working fast and furious everyday to not only find new products, but to improve on the ones we have. So to answer your question, I do not believe that they will bring anything NEW to the market.
