CLEARWATER, Fla. [December 14, 2009] — Michael Finneran and Craig Radford have been named senior directors of sales for The Z™, effective Jan. 1. Finneran will focus on the eastern part of the U.S., while Radford will be responsible for the western portion of the country.

“We have all seen firsthand Mike’s and Craig’s contributions to The Z™ as members of the Business Video Solutions (BVS) team,” said Tim Rarus, vice president of sales. “Their experience in so many different areas makes them the ideal people to take on this role.”

Finneran joined The Z™ during fall 2008 as national sales executive for BVS. With a bachelor’s degree from Gallaudet and a master’s degree in special education from California State University, Northridge, Finneran’s career began in education. Following key management positions at California School for the Deaf, Fremont and the Mississippi School for the Deaf, as well as serving as executive director of Austine School for the Deaf in Brattleboro, Vt., Finneran left the field to join Sprint as an account manager for Relay Connecticut. He is currently president of the Connecticut Association of the Deaf, as well as a member of various other local deaf clubs.

Radford came to The Z™ in October 2008 as a sr. account executive with extensive experience in education and business operations. He graduated from Utah State University (USU) with degrees in business and English. After teaching English and American Sign Language at USU, Radford joined Sorenson Communications at its inception, launching its business growth and development as sales operations manager and outreach manager. After a stint as business entrepreneur, he returned to the VRS industry as a regional manager at Sprint Relay. An active leader in the community, Radford chairs or participates in many civic organizations, including serving as chairman of the board of Utah Deaf Education and Literacy, Inc. He is also dedicated to promoting youth in sports and heavily involved in Utah Athletic Club of the Deaf, where he has chaired several regional tournaments.
