The Z has recently been honored with four awards, acknowledging the company’s innovation and impact on both local and national levels.

The Z was recognized twice on June 10 at coolTECH, the Tampa Bay Technology Forum’s fourth annual showcase of new technologies and cutting edge innovations in the Tampa Bay region. The Z was named runner-up for the Judges Award in Innovation and also earned honorable mention in the Popular Vote.

A week earlier, the company received the James C. Masters Promotion Award from TDI, the leading national advocacy organization that addresses equal access issues in telecommunications, media and information technologies for the disability community. The award—presented on June 4 during the 19th Biennial TDI Conference in Austin—goes to an individual, organization or company that has made an outstanding contribution to improving the accessibility of telecommunications, media and information technology for the deaf and hard of hearing communities.

On May 24, the Clearwater Downtown Partnership presented The Z with the Water’s Edge Business Sustainability (Office) award as part of its 4th Annual Momentum Awards. The awards acknowledge businesses, organizations, individuals and projects that have made significant contributions toward creating a unique, vibrant and diverse downtown with lasting, positive impacts on the Clearwater community.

“We’re honored to be recognized for the work we do,” said Sean Belanger, CEO. “These awards are a testament to the dedication and innovation of all of our staff, who are committed to bringing the best communication access to deaf and hard of hearing people across the country.”
